After 9 seasons of football Season 2006/7 saw the end of this team in youth football - well done lads we all had great fun!
2006/2007
We kicked off this season 2006/07 all believing we had a great chance of doing very well in the league, and that was nearly all lost in the very 1st match of the season, with 20 minutes to go we found ourselves to be losing 5-1, all the hard work of getting the lads up for one final season was going up in smoke, but with making a change or two the lads started to score and score and with a few minutes to go the score was 5 each in the few minutes of added on time I had my most memorable and most disappointing match in one go as we missed chance after chance to win the match which ended in a draw.
As the season continued the results kept coming great at home but not so good on our travels. We even had the most forgettable moment sorry unforgettable moment, when Greenie won a tackle no sorry cannot remember that, it was even more unforgettable than that it must have been Caylum or Borhen was not off side, no it was when Couttie was not talking to the ref or was it Harris or Lewis missing a tackle. No, it was when Matt was not on the bench or was it Grant turning up on time or Joe trying not to break someone’s leg or was it when Jamie was not spraying his knees with pain killer. I remember now it was when the Goal Keeper cannot remember his name I know the lads call him butter fingers, scored from his own area with a 80 yards plus kick never to be seen or witnessed again please. Well, done Jon after all the saves you have made over the years you can live on that one for a few more years yet. Must finish this now with my most disappointing moment with the Club and that is in the hands of the League who at the time of me putting this on paper have robbed the lads of 2nd place in the league by awarding 9 points to the team in third place for games unplayed!!!, so in the lads last year it all ends on a sad note. I would like to end by saying thanks to all the lads who have played for the Club during my time and hope they have enjoyed it as much as I have. Also thanks to Mums and Dads and Granddads for coming each week. Also special thanks to Dave, Terry and Fiona who without it would not be possible.

Byfleet Under 18's play in the Guildford, Shere & District League Division One.
After a promising first half to the season Byfleet have maintained some good form to remain in the top three. Unfortunately any realistic hopes of a title challange went with a 5-2 defeat away from home to runaway leaders Onslow.
However Byfleet boosted their chances of gaining second place last weekend with a win over second placed team Spartak Guildford, with Borhen Hizoui scoring inside 30 seconds!
This weekend Byfleet played their last game against old rivals Molesey Juniors. The game finished 2-2 with Byfleet keeper Jon Creswick scoring the opener from 80 yards.
Next weekend Byfleet travel to rivals Kew, who are in contention with Byfleet, and a number of other teams for second spot.
With a number of tough games going up it promises to be a exciting end of the season for the Under 18's.
